We are looking for an energetic person to be a full-time professional estimator to join our team.
Responsibilities include:
- Generate detailed cost estimates of commercial roofing projects.
- Visit work sites, inspect existing material, and gather data related to materials and labor costs.
- Read plans, understand specifications, perform takeoffs.
- Understand the project/program and its requirements.
- Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times.
- Use software for analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
- Obtain and review offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors.
- Create and submit estimate reports or bids to appropriate people. (project managers, clients etc.)
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in a field related to commercial work.
- Must be comfortable with heights, climbing ladders and accessing roofs.
- Knowledge of contract relationship, subcontracting and vendor relations.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to compile and prepare project submittals.
- Experience with project takeoffs.
- Ability to manage multiple inquiries at the same time, assuring that company and client expectations are met.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
Preferred, but not required experience:
- Previous estimating in commercial roofing.
- Experience with EDGE software.
- CRM experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
