Job Overview
Roman’s Cafe is looking for a high-energy, dependable team member who is willing to learn and comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Some previous restaurant or customer-service experience is preferred, but it is not required. We are happy to train someone who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for helping guests.
As a Server, you will help create a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and making sure each guest feels valued and satisfied. Your attention to detail, friendly personality, and ability to work well with others will help our restaurant run smoothly.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders
- Enter orders correctly into the restaurant’s POS system
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Check on guests regularly and respond to requests or concerns
- Process cash and credit-card transactions accurately
- Answer questions about the menu and make helpful recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and follow food-safety and sanitation standards
- Bus and reset tables as needed
- Assist with food preparation and support kitchen and dining-room staff during busy periods
- Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities

- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Good time-management and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable handling cash and completing basic math
- Some restaurant, food-service, or customer-service experience is preferred
- POS-system experience is helpful but not required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus
