JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary responsibilities including providing construction inspection for municipal construction projects in various locations in Southwest Washington. In 2026, work will include projects in the Long Beach and Ilwaco areas. Duties include field observation, verifying conformance with plans and specifications, preparing documentation, and facilitating communication between the contractor, owner, and engineer. Construction projects may include utility, roadway, or pump station projects. This position would be typically 40+ hours per week on a project-to-project basis. Work is anticipated to be seasonal with projects typically occurring from early Spring to late Fall each year.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- 5+ years' experience in water, sanitary sewer, stormwater, or transportation construction or inspection
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Able to work well with others in a collaborative manner.
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $38/hr - $50/hr, depending upon experience. Benefits include paid holidays and sick leave.
