Fusion Gourmet is a specialty food company based in Rancho Dominguez, CA, dedicated to crafting and distributing premium consumer food products (sauces, noodles, snacks, candies & cookies) Our products are sold nationwide through a wide range of retail channels as well as through specialty food distributors. With over 27 years of profitable growth, we continue to expand and are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team for a full-time, on-site position.
Role Description
- Responsible for the development, management and growth of targeted market segments including natural and specialty retailers, conventional supermarkets, specialty distributors as well as alternative trades
- Manage and grow existing accounts through responsible and proactive account management
- Work with brokers to develop and manage opportunities on an account or segment specific basis
- Assist with planning and participating in food tradeshows (3 to 5 per year)
- Work with logistics and order processing teams to ensure highest level of customer service
- Handle all aspects of vendor and item setup for new and existing accounts
- Assist with planning and managing promotional activities for key accounts
- Conduct key account presentations for new and existing business
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience selling consumer products in the US grocery food industry
- Strong understanding of the specialty food segment as well as experience in selling to major retailers and distributors
- Strong skills in Business Development, Sales Strategies, and Account Management
- Excellent Communication and Negotiation skills with the ability to build meaningful client relationships
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address client needs effectively
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Must be resourceful, highly dependable, efficient and detailed oriented.
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
