Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate expertise in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves providing comprehensive clinical services to individuals, families, and groups, with a focus on enhancing emotional well-being and promoting positive mental health outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients in acute distress.
- Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and empowerment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, including case management and coordination of services.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including EMR systems for patient records.
- Facilitate behavioral therapy sessions for children and families, focusing on developmental disabilities, autism, and special education needs.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to enhance service delivery and contribute to the field of social work.
- Provide addiction counseling and support for individuals dealing with PTSD or trauma-related issues.
- Offer home and community care services as needed, ensuring accessibility for all clients.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution; LCSW licensure is required.
- Proven experience in psychotherapy, particularly with children and families.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health practices, including crisis management and geriatric care.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including those with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independence in clinical decision-making.
