Overview
Join Thompson Landscape Improvement as an Experienced Landscaper, working on a variety of residential and commercial properties throughout the area. Our work includes general landscaping and property maintenance, mowing, trimming, planting, seasonal cleanups, excavation, and hardscaping.
We’re looking for a well-rounded landscaper who already has hands-on experience and understands the day-to-day work involved in maintaining and improving residential and commercial properties. You should be comfortable using landscaping equipment and tools and working in different areas depending on what the job requires.
This is a hands-on position. You’ll work alongside the crew performing lawn maintenance, general landscaping, property cleanups, planting, masonry, and landscape construction. Experience operating skid steers, excavators, loaders, or other equipment is a plus.
Applicants should have professional landscaping experience, be dependable, and be able to work independently without needing constant direction.

Responsibilities
- Perform general landscaping and property maintenance on residential and commercial properties.
- Mow lawns using commercial mowers and perform trimming, edging, and blowing.
- Perform spring and fall cleanups, leaf removal, weeding, mulching, and general property cleanup.
- Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and landscape beds.
- Assist with masonry and hardscape work including patios, walkways, retaining walls, pavers, and natural stone.
- Assist with landscape construction projects including grading, drainage, excavation, site preparation, and installation.
- Operate landscaping equipment, small machinery, power tools, and hand tools safely.
- Operate skid steers, excavators, loaders, and other equipment when qualified and needed.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Perform physical labor including digging, lifting, carrying materials, raking, and shoveling.
- Keep job sites, trucks, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
- Work alongside the crew and help with different landscaping and property improvement projects as needed.
- Follow company safety procedures and properly use tools and equipment.
Requirements
- Professional landscaping or property maintenance experience.
- Experience with lawn mowing, trimming, edging, blowing, and general property maintenance.
- Knowledge of commercial landscaping equipment, small machinery, power tools, and hand tools.
- General knowledge of planting, mulching, pruning, cleanups, and landscape maintenance.
- Masonry, hardscape, drainage, grading, or landscape construction experience is a plus.
- Heavy equipment experience is a plus.
- CDL is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical outdoor work, including lifting, digging, carrying materials, and working on your feet throughout the day.
- Ability to work independently when needed and as part of a crew.
- Must be dependable, able to follow directions, and comfortable handling different types of work throughout the day.
- Must have enough landscaping experience to recognize what needs to be done and complete routine work without constant supervision.
