Aspire to grow! Come be a server/bartender at one of the most beautiful restaurants in the area. A server/bartender at The Pearl at Aspire is responsible for providing prompt and friendly food and beverage service to all guests following the service model. They are also responsible for meeting or exceeding sales performance objectives as determined, communicated, and monitored by management. Position includes a competitive hourly rate plus tips.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Follow The Pearl at Aspire service model to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
- Work consistently to meet or exceed the sales goals.
- Acquire knowledge of beverage and/or the menu to provide recommendations and suggestively sell to guests.
- Promptly notify management of incidents involving possible excessive alcohol consumption or impaired conditions
- Process guests checks and payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card, and accounting policies.
- Report all tips in compliance with company policy and IRS regulations.
- Maintain a consistently professional and positive attitude when communicating with guests and colleagues.
- Serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with The Pearl at Aspire Responsible Serving Statement Policy.
- Acknowledge every guests within 5 feet.
- Provide each guest with a friendly welcome and gracious farewell to ensure a positive, memorable visit and promote repeat visits.
- Greet guests according to standard and inform guests about daily/current features and promotions.
- Ensure guests orders are accurately recorded and input into the POS system in a timely manner.
- Check back with guests, provide refills, and pre-bus throughout the entire guest experience.
- Partner with other team members to ensure all guests needs are met.
- Perform opening and closing duties as well as running side work throughout the shift.
- Ensure the highest quality preparation of food and beverage items are delivered to the guests.
SERVER SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver food to guests within and outside of your section.
BARTENDER SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up the bar area in compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar, including proper disposal of trash and removal of empty glasses.
- Ensure adequate stock of liquors, beer, wines, mixes, garnishes, glassware, and other bar supplies.
- Uphold the highest standards of beverage quality.
- Prepare and serve drinks according to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
- Minimum 2-3 years serving experience in a casual or upscale restaurant.
- Minimum 3-5 years of bartending experience in a full-service restaurant setting.
- Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service.
- A desire to help where needed and work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to understand and comply with proper food handling and serving techniques and with federal, state, and local serving regulations.
- Ability to process cash handling and credit card transactions in compliance with policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate a computer, calculator, and phone.
- Attention to detail with good organizational and efficient time management skills.
- Consistent professional attitude and behavior with effective listening and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain flexible and efficient under pressure.
- Possess a current Tennessee state issued ABC Card.
- Ability to attend a 5-day culture class and other mandatory meetings and classes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires regular attendance and the ability to stand or walk for hours at a time. It frequently requires hearing, speaking, walking, crawling, climbing, standing, reaching, bending, balancing, kneeling, stooping, lifting, and carrying items up to 50 lbs. The role also requires the ability to tolerate significant changes in temperature and frequent immersion of hands in water and cleaning or sanitizing solutions. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
