Position Summary
The Warehouse Assistant / Material Runner supports field and warehouse operations by organizing inventory, delivering materials and equipment to job sites, assisting with warehouse management, and ensuring crews have the resources needed to maintain project schedules. This position requires a motivated individual who is dependable, organized, safety-conscious, and committed to supporting team success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites in a safe and timely manner.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, stocking, and maintaining warehouse inventory.
- Load and unload materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, trailers, or manual labor as needed.
- Perform routine warehouse housekeeping and maintain organized storage areas.
- Assist with tracking and staging materials for upcoming projects.
- Support field crews and project teams by ensuring materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Conduct basic inspections of tools and equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager with inventory counts, deliveries, and special projects.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Positive attitude and professional communication skills.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in construction, warehouse operations, or material handling.
- Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- Forklift operation experience.
- Experience pulling trailers and securing loads.
- CDL (preferred but not required).
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
