Landscape Maintenance & General Labor Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Landscape Maintenance & General Labor Technician to join our team. This position involves landscape maintenance, exterior property upkeep, roof and gutter maintenance, routine cleaning of common areas, and general handyman tasks at residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, enjoys working outdoors year-round, and is comfortable performing a variety of physical tasks in all weather conditions.
Duties
- Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, blowing, and weed control.
- Remove garbage, debris, and junk from properties.
- Maintain landscape beds by weeding, mulching, watering, and seasonal cleanup.
- Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal.
- Perform pressure washing of sidewalks, buildings, patios, fences, and other exterior surfaces.
- Perform roof and gutter cleaning, moss removal, and roof maintenance as assigned.
- Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of shared spaces, common areas, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and other community areas at residential and commercial properties.
- Complete general property maintenance including fence repairs, gate adjustments, mailbox repairs, painting/touch-up, caulking, and minor carpentry.
- Assist with basic handyman repairs such as replacing hardware, locks, and other general maintenance tasks.
- Operate power tools and equipment including lawn mowers, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers, pressure washers, chainsaws, and other landscaping equipment.
- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment between job sites.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional job site.
- Perform snow and storm cleanup as needed.
- Accurately document all completed work by entering detailed job notes and uploading clear before-and-after photos using the company's dispatching app.
- Navigate AppFolio Property Management software and other company applications to access work orders, review job details, and update job status.
Requirements
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, property maintenance, janitorial services, or a related field preferred.
- Handyman or general maintenance experience is highly preferred.
- Experience with exterior property maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment, power tools, and hand tools.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, and snow.
- Comfortable working on roofs, ladders, and at heights.
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
- Must own and be comfortable using a smartphone for daily work.
- Must be able to use a mobile dispatching application to receive work orders, navigate to job sites, enter detailed notes, and upload photos for every completed job.
- Must be comfortable using AppFolio Property Management software and other mobile applications as part of daily job responsibilities.

Work Location
