POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipping/Receiving Associate is responsible for receiving incoming materials, shipping finished products, and making sure all items are accurate and properly documented. This position helps keep inventory organized, supports production, and ensures customer orders are shipped correctly and on time. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.
$21.50 per hour
RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and label products for shipment according to customer orders and company guidelines.

Operate shipping equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) to move products within the warehouse.

Verify the accuracy of order contents and shipping details to ensure correct shipments.

Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments, including tracking numbers and shipment dates.

Perform inventory checks and ensure products are stored in the correct locations for easy retrieval.

Ensure all shipments meet packaging and safety standards to prevent damage during transit.

Assist in loading/unloading shipments and organizing products in the warehouse.

Support the team with other warehouse duties as needed, such as inventory management and general warehouse upkeep.

Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse area while operating safely and efficiently.

Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits to support inventory control processes.

Receive and unload incoming material shipments including railcars and bulk liquid trucks.

Ensure all received materials are properly labeled and stored in designated areas while maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions in the system.

Review material and quantity received per BOL/packing list for accuracy.

Coordinate with the purchasing department to resolve issues with deliveries.

Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized receiving area.

Operate the bagging machine when necessary for custom orders.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics or inventory management preferred.

Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office.

Forklift experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.).

Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
-
This role operates in a facility without climate control, meaning exposure to varying temperatures based on seasonal conditions.

Willing to work overtime when needed.
