Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic Painting team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential and commercial jobs. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality workmanship on every project. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and passionate about delivering exceptional results that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stain, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment such as airless paint sprayers, and power tools.
- Use hand tools like caulking guns, putty knives, trowels, and other carpentry tools for surface preparation and finishing touches such as trim carpentry or fixture installation.
- Perform drywall repairs and spackling
- Mix paints and coatings according to color theory principles to achieve desired hues; perform basic math calculations for measurements and quantities.
- Maintain safety protocols on construction sites by handling hazardous materials properly and operating power tools responsibly.
Skills
- Extensive experience with residential painting, commercial painting, industrial painting, and construction site work.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools including airless sprayers, welding equipment, and masonry tools.
- Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as caulking, sanding, plastering, stucco application, and masonry work.
- Knowledge of color theory for effective color matching and aesthetic consistency across projects.
- Experience with maintenance tasks like drywall repair or restoration projects; handyman skills are a plus.
