Hermont Tire is expanding to Texas and seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our mobile automotive and fleet service team in San Antonio.
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing daily field operations, technician performance, compliance, and client service for commercial fleet customers.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a team of mobile automotive technicians (7–15 as we scale)
- Oversee 7-day operations for technicians
- Ensure DOT, safety, and environmental compliance
- Manage scheduling, dispatch coordination, and productivity targets
- Monitor performance metrics and control labor efficiency
- Handle client communication and operational escalations
- Recruit, coach, and develop technicians
- Support regional growth as the company expands
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years experience in automotive, fleet, or commercial service operations
- 3+ years managing technicians or field teams
- Experience with DOT-regulated vehicles strongly preferred
- Strong leadership and accountability mindset
- Comfortable managing 7-day operational coverage
- Organized, detail-oriented, and performance-driven
- Strong communication skills (client-facing experience a plus)
- Experience and certification working on electric vehicles is a plus (Rivian certification is preferred)
- Meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with our clients
