Your Primary Role
Your primary responsibility will be cutting and preparing meat for both our retail customers and our custom processing department. This includes cutting beef to customer specifications, preparing retail cuts, and helping process locally raised livestock for customers who trust us to professionally cut, wrap, and package their beef.
We're looking for an experienced meat cutter, but we're also willing to train the right person. If you have strong knife skills, a great work ethic, and a genuine desire to learn the trade, we'd like to meet you. Experience in meat cutting, food production, commercial kitchens, hunting/game processing, or other knife-intensive work is a plus.
While your primary focus will be meat cutting, you'll also have opportunities to learn and assist in other areas as needed. As you grow with our company, you may be cross-trained in:
- Wrapping and packaging
- Retail counter sales
- Sausage making
- Smokehouse operations
Cross-training isn't the primary role, but it helps keep the work interesting, builds valuable skills, and creates a stronger, more flexible team.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Is 18 years of age or older
- Has meat-cutting experience or strong knife skills with a willingness to learn
- Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Is a self-starter who takes pride in producing quality work
- Is physically able to lift 50+ pounds throughout the day
- Can work on their feet in a fast-paced environment
- Has reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Is willing to work overtime when needed
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Treats coworkers, supervisors, customers, and vendors with professionalism and respect
- Enjoys learning new skills and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed
- Has excellent customer service skills
- Has cash-handling experience (preferred)
- Can read and write English and has basic math skills
- Maintains excellent personal hygiene and follows food safety standards
- Enjoys hands-on, physical work and takes pride in doing the job right the first time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
