Be a part of a growing family business! This position is for a glazier for the Residential and/or Commercial Services division of Alderfer Glass Company. This position holder will install residential and/or Commercial glazing projects including: shower enclosures, mirrors, glass, windows, doors, custom glass projects, and may flex into projects in storefront, commercial glazing systems and more.
Applicants should have a desire for quality, a proficiency in the building trades, and strong self motivation. Your primary focus will be providing high-quality work, while maintaining and encouraging a positive customer experience. This is a role for a person who thrives on multi-tasking, customer service, attention to details, and can work proactively to find solutions for problems and challenges on custom projects.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and will have three to five years of experience in construction and/or experience in a building environment. Glass industry experience and knowledge is preferred. Carpenters or window installers will find success with this position. Training can/will be provided for candidates.
Candidates with related skills and lower experience levels will be considered. Strong written and spoken communication skills is preferred. Strong blue-print reading skills, and familiarity with construction plans is a plus. In this role, you will be required to frequently lift items over 25 - 50 lbs. and may occasionally lift over 75 lbs.
