Job Description
Charleston Elite Dance is hiring dance instructors and competitive team coaches in Mount Pleasant, SC. We are a fast-growing dance studio seeking passionate, energetic teachers who love working with children and teens.
We are looking for instructors in a variety of styles including ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, acro, musical theatre, and pom. We are also seeking dedicated coaches for our All Star competitive dance teams (ages 7–18).

Responsibilities
- Teach engaging, age-appropriate dance classes
- Develop lesson plans that build technique, performance quality, and confidence
- Choreograph routines for classes and/or competitive teams
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to dancers
- Maintain a positive, professional, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate with studio staff to support program growth and culture
- Coach and prepare competitive teams for performances and competitions (coaches only)
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff
Requirements
- Experience teaching dance in a studio setting and/or coaching competitive dance teams
- Strong technical background in one or more dance styles
- Ability to work with students ages 3–18
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable, professional, and energetic
- Passion for working with children and developing dancers
- Availability for evening classes and weekend commitments
Preferred Qualifications
- Competitive dance or coaching experience
- Experience choreographing routines
- Acro certification (for acro instructors)
- CPR/First Aid certification
Compensation
- Hourly pay based on experience ($20–$35+ per hour depending on role and experience)
Schedule
- Late Afternoon / Evening shifts
- Weekend availability required (especially for performances and competitions)

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
