Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and Material Handler, where your expertise will keep our warehouse operations running smoothly and efficiently! Duties
- Operate a variety of material handling equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanning systems to load, unload, and transport goods efficiently.
- Manage inventory through accurate order picking, stock replenishment, and updating warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure precise stock levels.
- Safely load and unload shipments by adhering to OSHA standards and warehouse safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation, scanning barcodes for logistics accuracy, and preparing items for dispatch.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials in designated areas, conducting cycle counts, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse operations, improve workflow efficiency, and uphold safety standards in all activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklift equipment such as reach trucks, lift trucks (forklifts), Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks within a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control procedures, barcode scanning technology, and shipping & receiving protocols.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting on material handling machinery.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling practices.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurement conversions, and documentation accuracy.
- Previous experience in warehouse management or supervision roles is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential!
