Overview:
Coordinates and supports performance improvement projects, financial operations, and clinical data reporting within the Patient Care Services (PCS) division. Ensures effective collaboration among stakeholders, facilitates operational enhancements, and drives data-driven decision-making to improve patient outcomes and organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the collection, analysis, and reporting of performance improvement, financial, productivity, and patient satisfaction data.
- Works closely with the Enterprise Analytics team to develop and interpret analytic reports that drive strategic nursing decisions.

Serves as Site Coordinator of the National Database for Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), monitors reports and alerts clinical content experts of identified trends. Teaches new Nurse Leaders about NDNQI.

Coordinates the collection, analysis, and reporting of data for assigned performance improvement projects

Prepares reports and conducts presentations related to clinical outcomes.Ensures accurate data submissions and reporting deadlines are met for both internal and external stakeholders

Manages and coordinates the design, roll out, education and on-going process improvement for new clinical equipment.

Conducts education for patient care staff on new processes or identified issues, implement new system enhancements and improve workflow for caregivers or the operations of the PCS department.
- Serves as resource for projects that effect care giver processes with a focus on planning, communication including written policies updates, education, and support on these projects.
- Performs chart audits and direct observations to determine compliance with established standards and policies and facilitates improvement when indicated.

Participates in on-going monitoring of clinical, financial and productivity data.

Solves complex problems and supports projects by using excellent communication, clinical and problem-solving skills.

Collaborates with nursing financial resources to generate and present monthly and quarterly financial reports to nursing leadership and executive teams.

Collaborates with the Nursing team to develop SMART goals based on data analytics to drive performance improvement.

Assists in assuring TJC readiness.

Assists in improving patient outcomes through implementation of evidence based clinical practice.

Assists departments in the Patient Care Division with education of new policies and procedures, technology and process changes.

Serves as liaison to ancillary departments to assure clinical practices are implemented smoothly. Collaborates with educational (Clinical Education) and quality (Quality Department) resources when indicated.

Is a member of various PI teams, standing teams and work groups as required to plan for, communicate and implement changes that effect patient care processes and operations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or (may give consideration to candidates with relevant years of experience with BSN completed within 4 years).

Master of Science in Nursing preferred.

Three years’ experience in an acute care facility required.

Active Registered Nurse licensure with the state of Alabama required.
-
Experience in the coordination of quality projects preferred.

Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS standards and terminology preferred.

Basic knowledge in the use of office productivity software to include MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint required.

Basic knowledge of statistical and data analysis required.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to make formal presentations required.

Meditech experience preferred.
-
Incumbent must exhibit strong interpersonal skills.
