Southwestern College is looking to hire a part-time instructor to teach
Mexican-American History II (MAS/HIST 142): The curriculum Covers the history of the Mexican-American experience from 1846 to the present day. Emphasizes the political, economic, and social evolution of the Mexican-American people within the context of both Mexican and American cultural influences. Includes a study of the Constitution of California.
Class modality is face-to-face. Classes may be held during weekdays, and/or evenings at any of the campus sites (Chula Vista, National City, Otay Mesa, and/or San Ysidro). EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Master’s in Latino Studies, La Raza Studies, Chicana/o Studies, OR Master’s in Ethnic Studies OR the equivalent.
Applicants with foreign degrees from colleges or universities outside of the United States must have their coursework evaluated by a professional association that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) or Academic Credentials Evaluation Institute, INC.(ACEI). A copy of the evaluation must be submitted with online application.
