General Manager – Courtyard by Marriott Chino Hills
Salary: $90,000–$102,000 per year.
Job Summary
The Courtyard by Marriott Chino Hills is seeking an experienced, hands-on General Manager to oversee all aspects of hotel operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a passion for hospitality, operational excellence, financial performance, and guest satisfaction. Marriott experience is strongly preferred, with Courtyard by Marriott experience highly desirable. We are looking for a leader who understands Marriott brand standards and can effectively lead a high-performing team while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities
- Direct all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring compliance with Marriott brand standards.
- Lead, develop, and support department managers and hotel associates.
- Drive guest satisfaction and maintain high service quality scores.
- Manage hotel financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, labor costs, and profitability.
- Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve revenue and control expenses.
- Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain talented team members.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable laws.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house operations.
- Work alongside department teams when operational needs require additional support.
- Maintain strong communication with ownership and the management company regarding hotel performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of General Manager experience in a branded hotel.
- Marriott experience strongly preferred; Courtyard by Marriott experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to make sound operational decisions in cost-saving opportunities from labor, to expenses, customer service.
- Experience with revenue management and hotel sales strategies.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop successful teams.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when business demands require.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required with equivalent experience.
