We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and efficient Cashier to join our team at Fast Lane Market. As a Cashier, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while processing transactions, maintaining a clean store environment, and assisting customers with their needs. You will be responsible for handling cash, operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every customer.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.

Operate the cash register, scanning items, and processing payments via cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods.

Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain accurate cash register balances and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.

Ensure all merchandise is properly stocked and organized on the sales floor.

Assist in restocking shelves, coolers, and displays as needed.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the cashier area.

Follow store policies and procedures, including those for safety, security, and inventory management.

Assist in opening and closing the store, as needed.
