Major Function:
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of all interior and exterior lighting, swimming pools and equipment, ice machines, air conditioning equipment, plumbing, fire control equipment and guest room repairs. Responsible for administration of preventative maintenance program.
Essential Functions:

Provides the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.

Performs the Guest Room and Commercial Area Preventive Maintenance Program as scheduled by the General Manager.

Performs all assigned work requests on all electrical and mechanical equipment.

Follows specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment. Uses hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing devices to test, diagnose and repair equipment.

In order to detect malfunctions and repair equipment, must be able to dismantle equipment and install working parts.

Makes structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patches. or replaces plaster/plaster board, paint walls, ceilings and trim. Cuts and lays flooring (linoleum, tile, carpet, etc.)

Maintains a log of all work performed including parts needed, and/or parts used on all work requests. Follows work order procedures.

Records utility readings monthly and swimming pool readings daily (if applicable).

Clears clogged drains and replace plumbing fixtures. Connects water supplies and drainage pipelines and performs simple wiring and maintenance repair.

Performs and/or assigns all work requests on all electrical and mechanical equipment on the property.

Follows proper key control procedures.

Remedies guest complaints within 15 minutes. Notifies Manager on Duty or General Manager for proper follow-up if necessary.

Reports daily to the General Manager on maintenance and areas of concern of the hotel.

Maintains all maintenance space in a clean and orderly condition.

Is prepared to clean sidewalks and entrances to the hotel to keep it free of all debris and trash.

Helps in maintaining the parking lot, using the blower as necessary to keep dirt and debris down.

Wears proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Standards of Personal Appearance..

Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.

Practices safety standards at all times.

Through training in service, continues to practice skills learned.

Is able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Adheres to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the company, including but not limited to, those contained in the Employee Handbook.

Participates in fire/emergency response team as assigned when alarm drops.

Other duties as assigned of which the employee is capable of performing.
