Production Manager
Job Summary:
We are a 41-year strong, contract packaging company operating (2) 10 hour shifts 4 days a week consisting of 40 employees. We are focused on growth, efficiency, and continuous improvement as a company. The Production Manager supports the development of the plant's strategy to meet the manufacturing goals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a safe and productive work environment. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
· Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of manufacturing and operations experience in a management or supervisory role with a small to mid-size company
· 5+ years supervision experience in a job shop environment
· Must have proficient computer experience
· Document daily performance reports by preparing and analyzing production data
· Must be skilled with managing and directing employees daily, shift size is up to 25+ employees
· Oversee Mechanics, work in conjunction with Warehouse, Customer Service, Production
· Attention to detail is required, Manager oversees all traceability paperwork and ensures product is documented accurately

Responsibilities
· Maintain scheduling of production to meet customer needs and maintain the lowest possible labor/overtime costs
· Provide coaching and discipline to employees under guidance of Human Resources
- The Production Manager supports the development of the plant's strategy to meet the manufacturing goals
- Lead/Participate in monthly safety meetings and provide a safe working environment in the plant
- Ensure environmental, OSHA and other regulatory compliances are met
- Develop, adjust and/or implement capacity planning for the facility
- Manage and maintain the balance of supply and demand in support of customer promise dates and OTD levels
