American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract requiring at least 2 years of OR experience, pediatric experience, and on-call availability.

Hospital-based Operating Room setting serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
-
Surgical services include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery

12-hour evening shifts, 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM, three shifts per week
-
On-call is required and averages approximately 4 times per month with varying types: End of Shift (EOS) 7 PM–11 PM, overnight 7 PM–7 AM, or Backup Call (BUC) 3 PM–7 AM

EMR: Epic

Floating is required; travelers are first to float and may be assigned to sister campuses within 15–20 minutes of the primary location

Block scheduling requests are not accepted

Active FL RN license or compact RN license required

Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred

Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required

Pediatric OR experience required

Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred

Accredited nursing degree required, or a minimum of 5 years of RN experience in lieu of degree accreditation

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility's permanent address (radius rule strictly enforced; applies to owned or co-signed property as well)

Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Travelers are expected to function as core staff members and integrate fully into the unit culture
-
Orientation begins on a Friday and includes remote orientation components; candidates must be present at the facility on that Friday for badge/ID processing

All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to or at the time of consideration and will not be approved after an offer is made

Copy of certifications and proof of accredited nursing school must be provided for consideration
