Family Law Associate Attorney
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Family Law Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and related issues. This role requires strong advocacy skills, compassion for clients, and the ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with senior attorneys.
Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in family law matters such as divorce, custody, support, and property division.

Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements.

Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies.

Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients’ best interests.

Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines are met.

Stay current on changes in family law and relevant regulations.
Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active license to practice law in the relevant state.

1–5 years of experience in family law (preferred, but not always required).

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Ability to handle sensitive and emotional matters with professionalism.

Experience with courtroom litigation and/or mediation.
