Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and supporting kitchen staff with basic food handling.
- Clear and reset tables promptly by bussing dishes, glasses, and silverware to maintain a clean dining area.
- Support the kitchen team by handling manual tasks like heavy lifting of supplies and operating basic kitchen equipment safely.
- Maintain sanitation standards by cleaning workstations, floors, and storage areas regularly to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests.
- Follow all restaurant health and safety standards related to kitchen operations and food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold restaurant cleanliness, organization, and overall guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is highly valued.
- Familiarity with food safety management practices, sanitation procedures, and kitchen health standards is advantageous.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic knife skills or experience operating kitchen equipment is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Strong work ethic with an emphasis on teamwork, attention to detail, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
