Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and highly detail-oriented Clinic Staff to join our small but vibrant chiropractic clinic team! Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using electronic health record (EHR) systems, specifically ChiroTouch
- Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility and benefits verification, and handle billing inquiries with detail & accuracy
- Direct interaction with attorneys offices to streamline the patient care process of injury claims
- Schedule multiple appointments simultaneously
- Maintain accurate medical records by reviewing documentation, updating patient files, and managing filing systems in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Answer phone and place calls with professional phone etiquette, providing clear communication
- Assist with intake procedures, including collecting patient information and updating medical history using medical terminology and ICD-10/ICD-9 coding when necessary, and submitting into patient file
- Manage marketing campaigns for office growth & success
- Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining a clean, organized front desk environment, lobby, and treatment area
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office environment is ideal, especially within chiropractic clinics or similar healthcare settings, but training is available for the motivated candidate
- Demonstrated proficiency with electronic medical records
- Knowledge of medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-10/ICD-9), insurance verification, and health information management practices is helpful
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with medical office procedures
- Proven customer service skills combined with clerical experience in a busy office setting, at a high pace, while collaborating & communicating with colleagues.
- Capacity to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards while maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to work independently, and with others as a team, in a structured but supportive and positive environment
