Overview
Chop Chop Red Pot on 7th in Uptown Charlotte is looking to hire a lead line cook to join our team. Individuals must be ServSafe certified and have 1 year of culinary experience in a casual dining setting. The schedule we are hiring for is: Tuesday-Friday 4:00 PM - Close and Saturdays 1:00 PM - Close. Sundays and Mondays off but subject to change if there is an emergency.
Pay for this position is based on experience.
Duties
- Shows responsibility and leadership amongst the team.
- Is able to close down the kitchen nightly according to Chef's guidelines and standards and in compliance with health department standards.
- Maintaining proper cleaning and shut down procedures along with the team (i.e. you are helping with the cleaning and leading by example, not just delegating tasks).
- Is able to engage with customers and solve customer facing problems, issue refunds, answer questions, etc. as they arise.
- Assists with prep projects that are necessary for service.
- Filling out temperature logs and prep sheets at the end of every shift as well as communicating with the Chef in charge of any 9-11 needs for the next morning.
- Executing menu items according to Chef's guidelines and standards.
- Staying organized and calm under pressure during peak business hours.
- Staying busy with cleaning and service prep during slower hours.
Experience
- Full weekend availability (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) is required.
- Must be ServSafe certified.
- At least 1 year previous experience in Casual Dining restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to assist guests when needed.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure during busy periods.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- No criminal background.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
