As a Pet Care Specialist, you will be the ultimate partner for local pet parents, delivering premium in-home care and dog walking services where pet safety is always the number one priority.
What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like
- Active Dog Walking: Lead structured, safe neighborhood walks tailored entirely to each dog’s unique personality, size, and energy level.
- In-Home Drop-Ins & Pet Sitting: Visit client homes to manage feeding schedules, refresh water, clean up pet areas, facilitate playtime, and safely administer routine oral or topical medications.
- On-the-Go Mobile Reporting: Use our specialized team app to seamlessly check in and out of visits, snap fun pet photos, and send quick peace-of-mind updates directly to owners.
- Home & Pet Security: Maintain strict property security during arrivals and departures, ensuring client homes remain locked down and pets stay completely stress-free.
Candidate Criteria (Requirements)
- Age & Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older with verifiable personal or professional animal care experience (e.g., previous pet industry roles, volunteering, or long-term pet ownership).
- Reliable Transportation: Must hold a valid driver’s license and have consistent daily access to a reliable, fully insured personal vehicle to travel between client locations.
- Tech-Ready: Must own a modern smartphone with a reliable data plan to manage real-time scheduling, GPS navigation, and app communication.
- Physical Stamina: Comfortable walking several miles a day outdoors in various weather conditions, with the strength to safely manage larger, enthusiastic dogs.
- Professional Integrity: Exceptional punctuality, strong communication skills, and an observant, safety-first mindset.
- Background Check: Willingness to pass a comprehensive criminal background check before official onboarding.
