Quality Biomedical is seeking a driver with his / her own cargo van, sprinter, 2 axle trailer, or box truck, to pick up and deliver small to medium pieces of medical equipment.
The radius for pickups and deliveries will be 200 to 400 miles from the Service Center; specific routes will vary from 100 - 655 miles round trip and will generally include several stops. The position will begin as part-time and gradually increase to full-time as needed. You MUST be located in Johnstown, PA or surrounding areas to be considered for this position!
This driver will work in conjunction with our Logistics team and will involve crossing state lines.
The owner / driver will be an independent contractor with a vehicle that is properly licensed, insured, and maintained.
Bed length greater than 10ft for cargo is required to be considered as an independent contractor with QB.
The owner/ driver is also expected to have a clean driving record and must have a $1M Commercial Liability Policy at minimum (Cargo Insurance, specifically, is currently not required).
The Company will enter into a formal agreement for the provision of delivery services.
The successful owner / driver will be paid $0.90 a mile ROUND TRIP (billed as from and to the service center), for each assignment.
Owner/drivers pulling a 2-axle trailer or box truck will be paid $1.00 a mile ROUND TRIP (billed as from and to the service center), for each assignment.
Assignments will be available at first on a part time basis and gradually will become full time, as our business expands in this region. Drivers in this region typically earn $900-$1200 per week. This may vary.
Overnight opportunities may arise as the company continues to grow.
