What You'll Do
As an Assistant Sales Manager, you will be a key member of the leadership team responsible for driving membership growth, developing top-performing sales professionals, and creating an outstanding experience for every member who walks through our doors.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive membership sales through consultations, facility tours, referrals, follow-up calls, and relationship building
- Recruit, train, mentor, and develop sales counselors into high-performing professionals
- Coach team members on effective sales strategies, communication skills, objection resolution, and closing techniques
- Generate new business through phone outreach, text campaigns, community partnerships, networking, events, and local marketing initiatives
- Monitor individual and team performance while helping achieve monthly and annual club goals
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create positive experiences for members and guests
- Assist with daily club operations, including account maintenance, member support, and billing inquiries
- Organize and execute promotional events, member appreciation activities, contests, and community outreach efforts
- Support new program launches, club initiatives, and special sales campaigns
- Maintain a welcoming, professional, and high-energy club environment
- Partner with club leadership to increase member retention, improve operational performance, and maximize overall club success

Qualifications
- Previous sales and/or management experience preferred
- Fitness industry experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to motivate, coach, and develop others
- Goal-driven mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding performance targets
- Comfortable utilizing CRM systems, phone outreach, and follow-up strategies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Professional appearance with a positive, energetic attitude
