Job Summary
The History of Diving Museum is seeking a part time Sales Associate to provide a pleasing customer experience for all aspects of the Museum Store and visitor engagement. Experience with Point of Sale (POS) is preferred but we are willing to train those with basic computer skills. We are a pet friendly attraction, so must be okay with pets! Employee discount in Museum Store and flexible hours/days! If you are outgoing and dependable, we look forward to hearing from you.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them tickets sales
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for efficient cash handling, transactions, and receipts
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is attractive and properly merchandised
Skills
- Proficiency in POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail math for accurate transactions
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customers
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels, merchandising displays, and store cleanliness effectively
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with customer service principles and sales techniques to engage customers actively
