The Duties & Responsibilities:
Assume administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for supervising and directing maintenance department
Develop and implement repair and maintenance schedules for all areas of facility and grounds
Supervise schedules for repair and maintenance contractors
Participate in facility inspections and develop a plan of correction for Maintenance Services deficiencies noted
Ensure that supplies are requested, approved, and ordered according to policy.
Maintains building appearance and accessibility for residents and staff

Has a mastery level of technical expertise (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural knowledge)

Possesses the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the public

The Qualifications & Physical Demands:
1 year's supervisory experience required. Previous long-term care experience is desirable.
Maintenance experience in all areas of machinery and facility repair required.
Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights
