Duties
- Design, develop, and evaluate curriculum materials using instructional design models such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Develop engaging e-learning courses and instructional content compatible with SCORM standards and LMS platforms like Blackboard or similar systems.
- Facilitate professional development sessions for educators focused on integrating new curricula, instructional strategies, and learning technologies into classroom practice.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to teachers to enhance instructional leadership skills and promote best practices in teaching.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholder input to ensure timely delivery of curriculum initiatives.
- Utilize technical proficiency in productivity software, Adobe Captivate, and other content development tools to produce compelling training materials.
- Conduct training & development activities that support adult education principles, ensuring content is accessible and impactful for diverse learner populations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or related roles within educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or comparable platforms.
- Familiarity with SCORM standards for e-learning content packaging and delivery.
- Expertise in instructional technology tools including Adobe Captivate and other authoring software.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate teacher training sessions and professional development workshops effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
- Technical proficiency with productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) for content creation and project management.
- Classroom experience or direct involvement in teaching enhances understanding of practical instructional needs.
- Strong organizational skills with project management experience to oversee curriculum projects from inception through implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
