Position Summary
We're seeking a detail-oriented HR Coordinator to support the day-to-day human resources operations of our dermatology practice. This role owns the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding new hires through offboarding departures, and helps maintain a compliant, well-documented, and positive workplace. The HR Coordinator will also train to serve as the practice's Laser Safety/Compliance Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding
- Coordinate the full new-hire process: offer letters, background checks, I-9 and E-Verify, and new-hire paperwork.
- Set up employee records, payroll, and benefits enrollment through our HR service, isolved.
- Schedule and lead new-hire orientation and first-day setup (badges, system access, workspace).
Offboarding
- Manage the departure process: exit paperwork, final pay coordination, and benefits/COBRA notifications.
- Conduct exit interviews and collect company property and system access.
- Ensure timely, compliant termination documentation.
Employee Relations & Documentation
- Draft, issue, and file corrective action and disciplinary write-ups in partnership with managers.
- Maintain accurate, confidential personnel files and HR records.
- Track certifications, licenses, and required training for clinical and administrative staff.
Laser Safety / Compliance (training provided)
- Train and certify as the practice's Laser Safety/Compliance Officer.
- Maintain laser safety protocols, logs, and required documentation.
- Support the practice in meeting OSHA, HIPAA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
General HR Support
- Respond to employee questions on policies, benefits, and PTO.
- Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and general administrative HR tasks.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of HR, administrative, or office coordination experience (healthcare/medical office a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and comfort handling confidential information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
- Willingness to complete Laser Safety Officer certification (provided by employer).
- High school diploma required; associate's/bachelor's or HR coursework preferred.
