Position Overview
Career Links is currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) for a hospital-based generalist position serving both inpatient and outpatient populations. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while collaborating with a strong interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Inpatient Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat hospitalized patients across medical-surgical, orthopedic, neurological, ICU, and general medicine units.

Implement early mobility and rehabilitation interventions to prevent functional decline and support safe discharge planning.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and discharge recommendations.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.

Accurately document evaluations, treatment interventions, patient progress, and discharge recommendations within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Outpatient Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients with orthopedic, neurological, post-operative, and chronic conditions.

Develop evidence-based treatment plans designed to maximize functional outcomes and independence.

Provide patient and caregiver education regarding home exercise programs, injury prevention, and condition management.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment interventions as appropriate.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required
-
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapy program.

Current Texas Physical Therapist license in good standing through the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date).

Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain upon hire.

Strong clinical reasoning, patient assessment, and treatment planning skills.

Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities.
Preferred

Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic, acute care, or hospital-based setting.

Experience treating a variety of patient populations across inpatient and outpatient settings.
