About the Role
RSD Outdoor is looking for a creative, energetic, and hands-on Junior Content Creator to join our growing team in Ogden, Utah.
We operate in the outdoor industry, representing brands specializing in thermal imaging, optics, stabilized binoculars, hunting, shooting sports, and outdoor equipment.
We're looking for someone who loves creating content, shooting and editing videos, photography, social media, and experimenting with new ideas and formats.
This is a hands-on position. You'll have the opportunity to take ideas from concept to finished content, work with exciting products and see the direct impact of your work.
What You'll DoSocial Media & Content
- Create and execute content plans across our social media platforms
- Create, schedule, and publish posts
- Manage community engagement and respond to our audience
- Create Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and long-form videos
- Produce product demonstrations, tutorials, educational content, and lifestyle content
- Create content for new product launches
- Monitor social media trends and experiment with new formats
- Track KPIs including views, engagement, reach, and follower growth
Video & Photography
- Shoot and edit short- and long-form videos
- Create product and lifestyle photography
- Produce outdoor photo and video shoots
- Edit photos and videos for social media, websites, newsletters, and advertising
- Capture behind-the-scenes and event content
Influencers & Community
- Identify relevant influencers and content creators
- Develop relationships with influencers, PR contacts, and journalists
- Coordinate product collaborations and content opportunities
- Help grow our online communities
Website, Blog & SEO
- Keep our websites updated with new content
- Write and edit product and marketing content
- Create blog articles
- Optimize website content for SEO
- Help develop our organic search strategy
- Assist with scripts and written content using AI tools when appropriate
Email Marketing & CRM
- Create and design weekly B2C and B2B newsletters
- Support product launches and promotional email campaigns
- Maintain and improve our CRM database
- Help improve audience segmentation and campaign performance
Events
- Help prepare and organize trade shows and industry events
- Capture photo and video content during events
- Create behind-the-scenes content
- Edit and publish event highlights
Some travel may be required.
What We're Looking For
You should have experience or demonstrated ability with:
- Video editing using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar software
- Photo editing using Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar software
- Canva and social media content creation
- Photography and videography
- Using a digital camera
- Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other major social platforms
- Writing clear and engaging content
- Strong creativity and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and turn ideas into finished content
Big Plus If You...
- Have experience with 3D design
- Have experience with Shopify
- Are comfortable appearing in videos and on camera
- Enjoy creating tutorials or presenting products
- Have an interest in outdoor activities, hunting, shooting sports, firearms, or optics
- Already create your own photo or video content
- Enjoy experimenting with new technology and AI tools
