We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide hands-on therapeutic services to residents in a skilled nursing facility setting, helping them achieve their highest level of functional independence.
Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, mobility training, and strengthening programs
Monitor resident progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
Accurately document treatments, resident responses, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility safety, and therapy goals
Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated resident care
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized therapy environment
Promote resident dignity, comfort, and independence throughout therapy sessions
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Current state licensure/certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
