Job Summary
We are actively seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated healthcare team for the overnight shift from 7pm to 7am. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, a passion for patient-centered care, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards including HIPAA and NCQA standards.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and evaluate clinical conditions using advanced EMR/EHR systems such as Epic and Cerner.
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans that address complex needs such as dementia care, memory care, hospice & palliative medicine, and acute pain management.
- Manage emergency situations efficiently by utilizing critical care experience, trauma medicine knowledge, and emergency response procedures.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Assist with triage assessments for incoming patients or residents requiring urgent attention, ensuring timely intervention.
- Support long-term care residents by providing specialized services such as ostomy care, catheterization, and tube feeding while promoting dignity and independence.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice.
- Demonstrated experience working in hospital medicine, ICU, trauma centers (Level I or II), or emergency medicine environments.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with ICD-9/10 coding is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills in areas such as cardiac catheterization, dialysis management, laboratory procedures, phlebotomy, and specimen processing.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities; knowledge of geriatrics and memory care is highly desirable.
- Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management, and neonatal resuscitation procedures preferred.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to perform physical examinations and assessments accurately.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and sterile processing procedures necessary for maintaining a safe environment.
