Jetvia has provided world class executive jet charter services for over 35 years, built on the pillars of safety, dependability, and transparency. We pride ourselves on delivering a refined travel experience that prioritizes the security and time of every guest.
We believe in supporting our team members first so they are empowered to provide exceptional service to our clients. We operate with an ownership mindset where accountability is the standard and egos are left at the door. If you are a professional who values a safety first foundation and thrives in a culture of mutual respect, we invite you to help us lead the next chapter of our history.
Position Overview
The Director of Maintenance (DOM) leads Jetvia's maintenance organization across hangar maintenance, avionics, Maintenance Control, planning, vendor management, AOG support, maintenance records and fleet reliability. This leader is accountable for the continued airworthiness, safety, reliability and regulatory compliance of Jetvia's Learjet 60/60XR fleet and for building a high-performing team that improves every day.
Our mission: Keep our aircraft safe. Make them reliable. Build a great team. Get better every day.
What You'll Do
- Lead the maintenance organization responsible for maintaining Jetvia's Learjet 60/60XR fleet.
- Provide leadership across hangar maintenance, avionics, Maintenance Control, planning, vendors, AOG support, maintenance records and fleet reliability.
- Set and enforce clear standards for workmanship, documentation, parts control, inspections and return to service.
- Improve aircraft availability, dispatch reliability and maintenance turnaround time through disciplined planning and execution.
- Identify repeat discrepancies and chronic problems, lead meaningful root-cause analysis and ensure durable corrective action.
- Develop stronger internal technical capability, particularly in avionics, systems knowledge and complex troubleshooting.
- Build productive working relationships with Flight Operations, Safety, vendors, repair stations and the FAA.
- Develop technicians and maintenance leaders who take ownership of the aircraft they maintain and uphold Jetvia's standards.
- Monitor fleet status, aircraft downtime, maintenance trends and key performance indicators, and communicate priorities and risks clearly to executive leadership.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Our Values Show Up in the Hangar
Safety First
We never trade airworthiness for schedule. You will build systems and controls that make it difficult for human error, incomplete work or operational pressure to create unacceptable risk.
Act Like an Owner
When an aircraft has the same write-up repeatedly, we do not simply clear it again. You will know which aircraft are down, why they are down, what is being done to return them safely to service and how we will prevent the issue from recurring.
Be Humble
Great maintenance is a team sport. The best DOM walks the floor, listens to technicians, learns from specialists, asks questions and takes responsibility when something is not working. There are no heroes here; there are great teams.
Lead With a Growth Mindset
The Learjet 60 will keep any maintenance organization learning. From PW305 engines and Collins avionics to nose wheel steering, spoilers, fuel systems, hydraulics, environmental systems and intermittent electrical problems, you will help build deep organizational knowledge rather than relying on one person who knows the trick.
Compete to Win
Our goal is bigger than compliance. We want to build the best Learjet maintenance operation in the country: safer aircraft, fewer repeat discrepancies, better reliability, faster AOG recovery, stronger technicians and pilots who trust the airplane when they walk up to it.
Qualifications
Required
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
- Meets the requirements to serve as Director of Maintenance under 14 CFR § 119.71.
- Strong aviation maintenance leadership experience with responsibility for people, technical standards, regulatory compliance and operational performance.
- Experience in a Part 135, Part 121 or similarly demanding aviation maintenance environment.
- Strong technical judgment and a disciplined troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to establish standards, hold teams accountable and build a culture of safety, ownership and continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, pilots, FAA inspectors, vendors, repair stations and executive leaders.
- Ability and willingness to travel and respond to operational needs, including AOG events, as required.
Preferred
- Learjet 60/60XR maintenance experience.
- PW305A engine, Collins avionics or comparable business jet systems experience.
- Experience improving fleet reliability, reducing repeat discrepancies and building internal technical capability.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work is performed in offices, hangars, on ramps and at field locations and may involve changing temperatures, weather, aircraft noise, fumes, moving equipment, elevated work platforms and confined aircraft spaces. The employee must be able to use required personal protective equipment and safely perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Why Jetvia?
This is not a caretaker role. You will have the opportunity to lead a large Learjet operation, build the team around it, improve how we maintain the fleet and see the results every day. If you love aviation, enjoy solving difficult problems and want to build something you are proud of, we should talk.
We are Jetvia. Together, we lead the sky.
