The Role
This is a hands-on technician role first, with a customer-facing sales side built in. Residential elevators are a growing part of our work, and we're specifically looking for someone who has installed them before and knows what a quality install looks like.
Most of your time will be spent in the field installing and servicing accessibility equipment in people's homes. The rest of the time you'll be the trusted face in front of the customer: doing in-home consultations, taking measurements, and helping families find the right solution.
Most days you'll be running a residential elevator install, setting a stairlift, or troubleshooting a platform lift. Other days you'll sit down with a homeowner, walk them through their options, and put together a quote. If you've got a knack for the sales side, there's real room to lean into it, but the foundation of this job is quality work in the field.

What You'll Do
- Install and service residential elevators, stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and related accessibility equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field, keeping every job safe and code-compliant
- Perform in-home consultations and assessments, taking accurate measurements and recommending the right solutions
- Walk customers through their options clearly and honestly - no jargon, no pressure
- Prepare quotes and follow up with prospective customers
- Represent Keystone with the professionalism and warmth our customers have come to expect
What We're Looking For
- Residential elevator installation experience. This is what we're really after. You've worked on home elevators: hoistway prep, rail installation, car assembly, drive systems, controllers, the full process. You don't need to be a master, and you don't need a license. But you've done the work before and you know what good looks like.
- General accessibility equipment experience is a strong plus. Stairlifts, platform lifts, and ramps are a big part of our day-to-day too.
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools. Carpentry, electrical, and general handyman skills round out the technician side of this role.
- People skills. You can talk to a homeowner like a neighbor, explain things clearly, and earn trust. This matters as much as the technical side.
- A dedicated work ethic. This is non-negotiable. We will fill in the gaps for someone who is committed, reliable, and genuinely wants to do good work. Skills can be sharpened; dedication can't be taught.
- A valid driver's license and a clean, professional appearance.
- Ability to lift and maneuver equipment and work comfortably in a variety of home environments.
Bonus points for: experience with specific elevator brands (Savaria, Stiltz, Cibes, Pneumatic Vacuum Elevators, etc.), prior sales or customer-facing work, or any electrical/construction trades background.
