The Position
Dynamic Drain Technologies is looking to add an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our sales team with experience selling into residential buildings (mid-rise/high rise condominiums & apartments), universities or industrial facilities. The position will be based in Alexandria Virginia.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Management & Travel Planning
- Route optimization: Planning weekly travel schedules efficiently to maximize face-to-face meeting times.
- Market segmentation: Analyzing assigned geographical areas or industry verticals to target high-potential accounts.
- Resource allocation: Deciding which accounts justify the physical time and travel investment.
Prospecting & Lead Generation
- Cold canvassing: Introducing services via in-person drop-ins, phone calls, or emails.
- Networking: Attending industry trade shows, conferences, and local business events to generate organic leads.
- Referrals: Leveraging existing customer relationships to unlock warm introductions to new prospects.
In-Person Demos & Presentations
- Discovery: Conducting face-to-face consultations to uncover client pain points, budget, and decision-making structures.
- Product demonstrations: Delivering tailored pitches, product samples, or walkthroughs at client facilities.
- Value positioning: Presenting detailed proposals that highlight how the product provides a cost-effective solution for the customer.
Contract Negotiation & Closing
- Proposal creation: Drafting customized price estimates, quotes, and contract terms based on customer specifications.
- Objection handling: Addressing concerns regarding pricing, delivery dates, warranties, or competitive alternatives.
- Securing signatures: Finalizing sales agreements and meeting defined monthly or quarterly revenue quotas.
Administration & Market Intelligence
- CRM hygiene: Diligently logging daily field interactions, pipeline updates, and contact details into CRM software.
- Competitive analysis: Monitoring industry trends, competitor pricing, and new innovations in the field.
- Reporting: Submitting regular sales forecasts, expense accounts, and activity reports to management.
Requires
- BS in Business Administration or a related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience and a strong track record of success
- Demonstrated experience in consultative sales
· Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with demonstrated ability to close deals
· Proven track record of overachieving quota and sale activity levels
- You are a team player that thrives in helping others succeed
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Analytical skills to interpret sales data and metrics, identify trends and make data driven decisions
- Proficient in sales management software and CRM systems to track sales activities and key metrics
· Proven track record of selling into one of four market segments:
o Health care including hospitals, testing labs and pharmaceutical facilities
o Industrial/manufacturing
o Multifamily private condominiums
o Government
· Mechanical and infrastructure experience a plus
· Willing to travel extensively in the Mid-Atlantic region
· Networking experience in professional organizations
· Flexibility to contribute to after-hours networking events and meetings as required.

Compensation and benefits
· Compensation of $150k to $200k, comprised of bonus and base

Pay: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
