Description:
Responsible for the safe transportation, setup, operational support, and logistics of remote blood drives. Operates SBMF mobile units and other assigned vehicles to and from collection sites; loads, transports, and unloads equipment and supplies; assists blood collection staff with drive setup and breakdown; supports donor registration activities; transports collected blood products as needed; and ensures mobile units, equipment, and technology are properly maintained and prepared for safe, efficient, and successful blood drive operations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; previous courier, transportation, logistics, or commercial vehicle driving experience preferred.

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.

Must meet and maintain applicable DOT medical certification requirements.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, schedules, and safety requirements.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and adapt to changing blood drive schedules and operational needs.

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Basic computer literacy and ability to use mobile technology and department systems after training.

Ability to perform the physical aspects of the position, including lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing and pulling equipment carts, loading and unloading supplies, walking, standing, and repeatedly entering and exiting mobile units and other assigned vehicles.
