We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in commercial and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to diagnose faults effectively
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems to support automation and control functions
- Ensure all work adheres to NEC standards, safety regulations, and local building codes
- Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry, and general handyman tasks as needed
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or failures before they occur
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in your jurisdiction
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with construction site work, including blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment
- Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) systems for diverse applications
- Familiarity with NEC regulations, renovation projects, and construction safety protocols
- Ability to work at heights or in confined spaces as required on construction sites
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently
- Additional experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, or handyman tasks is a plus
