Join our team as an Electronics Engineering Technician I, where you’ll use your technical expertise to troubleshoot, repair, and test a variety of audio, video, and digital electronic systems, including cameras, monitors, radios, amplifiers, and digital video recorders.
This hands-on role includes traveling to customer locations to install and support mobile audio/video and surveillance equipment, train customers, and provide technical assistance. You’ll also provide phone and remote support to troubleshoot and resolve system issues, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, technology, and working directly with customers.
Essential Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Engineering prototype creation, testing, and reporting

Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and manuals for troubleshooting

Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic malfunctions in the field and the manufacturing plant

Conduct on-site installations and provide technical support to customers on system operations

Provide training on mobile audio/visual, surveillance, and communications equipment

Troubleshoots, repairs, and updates electronic equipment and systems

Document service reports, findings, and recommendations

Test all repairs to ensure compliance with documented standards and specifications
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are expected to coincide with the Company’s normal business hours, Monday-Friday and may include weekends.
Required Education and Experience to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

High school diploma or GED required

Associate in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred

At least 1 year of experience in electronic troubleshooting, repair, or field service

Proficiency with standard electronic test equipment, including digital multi-meters and power hand tools

Previous experience installing and repairing industrial or commercial electronic systems preferred

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Proficient soldering skills and experience using hand and power tools

Basic networking and software diagnostics skills, understanding TCP/IP, and wireless experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret, and follow system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
Travel
Travel – 10% or greater with short notice at times
