Join Our Team as a Box Truck Driver – $18–$23/hr
Location: Byron Center, MI
Are you an experienced assembler with a knack for safe and reliable driving? We’re hiring a dedicated Assembly/Box Truck Driver to support our production processes and local deliveries in Byron Center, MI. This role offers a great opportunity to blend hands-on assembly work with driving responsibilities, all within a supportive and safety-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform detailed inspections of parts and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assemble products according to work orders and blueprints, carefully packaging items for shipment.
- Use hand tools, read drawings, blueprints, and measurements (to 1/16") with precision.
- Operate overhead cranes; complete necessary training and certification to handle Hilo equipment safely.
- Safely drive company vehicles for local deliveries and transportation of materials within Byron Center, MI, verifying loads and paperwork.
- Load and unload inventory using pallet jacks, forklifts, and carts, ensuring proper handling at all times.
- Maintain accurate mileage and delivery logs; keep vehicles clean, fueled, and perform basic inspections regularly.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Support additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. comfortably.
- Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Chauffeur’s Permit; CDL preferred but not required.
- Experience with assembly, packaging, and operating forklifts or overhead cranes is a plus.
