Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Behavioral Specialist to join our dynamic team committed to improving the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. Duties
- Deliver behavioral therapy sessions utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques tailored to each individual's needs.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and patient assessments to determine behavioral strengths and challenges.
- Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including special education professionals and healthcare providers.
- Assist with intake processes by gathering comprehensive medical records, medical terminology, and patient histories while ensuring HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality.
- Provide ongoing patient care by supporting behavioral health goals, managing behavior plans, and promoting skill development in children and adults with disabilities.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, records, and reports in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
- Educate families and caregivers on behavioral strategies, progress updates, and ways to support continued growth outside of therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings to review diagnostic evaluations, treatment outcomes, and coordinate care plans effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, special education, social work or related field; certification in applied behavior analysis (BCBA or RBT certification preferred).
- Proven experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, data collection methods, and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, patient assessment procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and functional behavior assessments.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, caregivers, educators, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain detailed documentation accurately while adhering to confidentiality standards.

Pay: $17.25 - $22.22 per hour
