Position Summary
Reports To: V.P. – USA Operations
The General Parts and Service Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and performance of Raptor’s Parts and Service operations. This role ensures that all parts procurement, inventory management, service execution, and order fulfillment activities are aligned to support sales growth, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
This position directly manages the Shop Supervisor (who oversees all shop personnel) and serves as the central coordination point between Sales, Engineering, and Administration to ensure seamless execution of projects, orders, and service work.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Leadership
- Lead and manage all Parts and Service operations across the facility
- Direct oversight of the Shop Supervisor and overall shop performance
- Establish priorities, workflows, and schedules for parts, fabrication, and service work
- Develop and implement operational processes to improve productivity, quality, and turnaround times
- Monitor departmental KPIs (delivery, cost, efficiency, utilization)
2. Parts Management & Supply Chain
- Oversee procurement, inventory, storage, and distribution of all parts and materials
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to support production and service demands
- Develop supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and manage lead times
- Monitor inventory turnover, obsolescence, and accuracy
- Ensure all parts are available to meet project and service timelines
3. Sales Order & Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Sales Manager to review incoming orders and project requirements
- Translate sales orders into executable shop and service plans
- Ensure all materials, parts, and labor resources are aligned prior to job start
- Track order progress from intake through completion and delivery
- Identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve delays
4. Service & Field Operations
- Assign and schedule service personnel for field work, installations, and rebuilds
- Ensure proper staffing and equipment availability for all service projects
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Oversee service reporting, job completion documentation, and follow-up
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Sales Manager – forecasting demand, prioritizing orders
- Engineering Team – design coordination, red-line changes, technical support
- Office Administrator – order processing, invoicing, and documentation
- Act as the central communication hub between departments
6. Financial & Performance Management
- Develop and manage departmental budgets (parts, labor, and service costs)
- Monitor margins on parts sales and service work
- Analyze operational costs and identify improvement opportunities
- Ensure profitability of parts and service operations
7. Team Development & Accountability
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Shop Supervisor and team leaders
- Support hiring, training, and performance management of staff
- Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and “GSD” execution
8. Process Improvement & Systems
- Implement and improve systems for:
- Inventory management
- Order tracking
- Work scheduling
- Reporting and analytics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations

Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 5–10+ years experience in:
- Parts management, service operations, or manufacturing operations
- 3–5+ years in a leadership or management role
- Strong understanding of:
- Inventory systems
- Supply chain coordination
- Shop or field service operations
Preferred
- Experience in:
- Mining, construction, heavy equipment, or wear parts industry
- Fabrication or welding environments
- Background in engineering coordination or project management

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
