Commercial Service Technician
EMC Security is seeking a service technician which would fulfill a role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing security, access control systems, and camera systems. This position skillset may include installation of new equipment, and requires competency with user access management, and responding to system malfunctions or emergencies, often demanding a blend of technical expertise in security systems, access control systems, and camera integrations. This is a field based position.

Key Responsibilities:
Access Control System Management
- Install, configure, and program access control systems
- Understand system functionality and address malfunctions related to access control hardware and software.
- Respond to access-related emergencies, offering efficient and timely customer support.
Camera System Management
- Install, configure, and maintain CCTV cameras, including network-based systems.
- Troubleshoot camera issues such as failures, image quality, connectivity, and recording malfunctions.
System Integration
- Integrate access control and camera systems with other security systems like intrusion detection or building management systems.
- Ensure seamless communication and data sharing between different security components.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of access control systems (e.g., Avigilon, CDVI, Kantech/Winpak, OpenPath) and CCTV camera technology (e.g., Avigilon, Digital Watchdog, Dahua, Hanwha).
- Experience with network infrastructure and basic networking protocols.
- Proficiency with security system installation and troubleshooting (Honeywell, DSC, GE experience a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency in system management tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
