Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent, Litigation Paralegal to join our team on-site in our Newnan office. In this role, you will work closely with our attorney to manage personal injury claims from initial client intake through pre-litigation and active litigation/trial preparation. The ideal candidate is deeply organized, possesses strong writing skills, and has a firm grasp of Georgia civil litigation and court procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorney with all phases of civil and commercial litigation, including case filing, document review, and discovery management
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence with precision and clarity
- Manage case files using document management systems to ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Coordinate depositions, interviews, and client meetings while maintaining detailed records of proceedings
- Support attorneys with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, evidence logs, and witness lists
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, maintaining calendars, and managing communication with clients and external parties
- Ensure compliance with procedural laws and court rules across multiple jurisdictions to facilitate efficient case progression
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage personal injury case files, including tracking medical treatment, gathering medical records and bills, and organizing insurance correspondence.
- Draft legal documents, including demand letters, complaints, motions, discovery requests, and discovery responses.
- Assist with electronic discovery (e-discovery) and manage document production.
- Maintain the litigation calendar, coordinating deadlines, depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel.
- Conduct factual research and assist with trial or mediation preparation.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: 0 years of experience required! This is an entry-level opportunity. Recent college graduates, career-switchers, or those with administrative experience are encouraged to apply.
- Education: High school diploma required; an Associate’s Degree, Paralegal Certificate, or Bachelor's Degree is a plus, but not strictly mandatory for the right candidate.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning new software quickly.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for helping people.
- Workplace Requirement: This is strictly an in-person role based out of our Newnan, GA office.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
