Job Summary
Learning Cove Academy is seeking a warm, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to lead a small class (average 5 students) of 4 year olds. We are looking for a teacher who enjoys making learning fun through hands-on activities, movement, real-world experiences, and age-appropriate academics.
The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills, be patient and engaging, and be comfortable teaching early reading, math, science, and social skills through interactive learning. Our small-class environment allows teachers to get to know each child and provide individualized support while encouraging independence, responsibility, and a love of learning.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management strategies tailored for preschoolers.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and uphold child safety standards at all times.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that supports diversity and individual growth.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience working with preschool or early elementary-aged children
Strong classroom management skills
Ability to teach early reading, phonics, writing, and math skills
Comfortable using hands-on and interactive teaching methods
Patient, dependable, organized, and energetic
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Able to create and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities
Comfortable supporting children with different learning styles and abilities
CDA, degree in Early Childhood Education/Education, or teaching certification preferred
Must be willing to complete a background check
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
